Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join the Leviat Project Engineering team as our Engineer Technician. Innovative products and services are at the foundation of our company and this position will support the design and support of our market leading lifting and bracing products in the constantly evolving and growing concrete tilt-up construction industry. This position reports to the Project Engineering Manager.

This person's main responsibility will be to review architectural/structural drawings and analyze elements of concrete wall panels to determine stresses, as they relate to the lifting/bracing components (to prevent bending/cracking), using a proprietary state of the art design software.

Responsibilities

Specific job functions include, but may not limited to the following:

• Interact and collaborate with customers, managers, engineers, project managers, quality control and other employees to resolve engineering related issues
• Adhere to customer (internal and external) volumes, timeline and expectations
• Interpret architectural/structural drawings
• Calculate lifting and bracing design for the tilt up industry

• Prepare bill of materials and take off drawings for submittals
• Handle several projects at once
• Provide excellent customer service and support

Qualifications (Education/Experience) And Required Skills

• Minimum 2 year of college level course work toward bachelors, with emphasis in calculus, statics and strength of materials
• Flexible on years of experience, but 5-year experience is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, and be able to perform structural design
• Ability to use a variety of computer programs, including AutoCAD, Revit, Mathcad and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
• Self-starter motivated and able to take initiative, with ability to start and finish a project on time
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Must be able to work closely with others
• Growth mindset with constant pursuit to learn and grow within role
• Minimal travel expected
